What we think

Disasters caused by extreme weather events make the headlines, citizens are demanding immediate action. But too few people, including politicians, entrepreneurs, civil society and trade union leaders, have a sufficient understanding of the issues and concepts of water management, land-use planning and management and strengthening resistance to climate change. Wrong choices often lead to inefficient use of resources, poor return on investment, failing infrastructure and missed opportunities. To remedy this situation, we believe that greater water wisdom must be acquired among stakeholders if more local water and climate initiatives are to succeed.

Our niche

Wisewaterdevelopment.net is a partnership and networking initiative founded in October 2019. Our objective is to provide advice to new local water and climate initiatives and to facilitate their access to knowledge and services. Our niche is to support such initiatives to enable them to acquire greater collective wisdom on water as a key factor for success and sustainability.
